I’m back but haven’t been a very good blogger….

I have been back for a few months now doing photo shoots of mommies, babies and I have a few more portrait sessions coming up as well!

I am very happy to be back but I am still not actively seeking clients, as I am working on prices and packages. Stay tuned for more detailed information regarding both of these!

I have officially decided I will no longer be taking new clients until the new year! We are awaiting the arrival of baby #2 (End of October early November) and still have a ton of things to do before he comes! A pretty girl in the garden

For some reason this didn’t post automatically on Friday like it should have and I was away all weekend so this is the first chance I’ve had to post the couple of photos of this cutie in the garden.

I had the wonderful pleasure of capturing a couple smiles from this little one a week ago. It took her a while to warm up to me but soon she did and we did get a few great smiles. These are just a couple of the photos I’ve edited so far.

Thanks Lynda for allowing me to capture such a pretty girl like your daughter. It was great!

Talk about a handsome little dude! I just loved taking Evans picture and really enjoyed working with them afterwords. This was my first real attempt at trying a storyboard and I think it turned out great!

How adorable is this family! I had a great time at the piano shop taking photos of this very musical family! I hope one day I’ll be taking pictures of Baby A actually playing the piano!

What I’ve been busy with….

I’ve been blessed to do quite a few maternity photo sessions lately, and I really think they are becoming one of my favourites.  I love capturing a mommy-to-be with her growing belly and the love that’s typically shared between the man and women.  It’s amazing!

Here are a few sessions I’ve done in the past month.  Enjoy!!

Like seriously, look at the love between the two of them!  Amazing!  Makes my heart skip a beat!  Congratulations K&J all the best with the arrival of your new bundle of blue!

Another beautiful mommy-to-be and daddy-to-be that I had the opportunity to photograph.  She’s my younger cousin and obviously expecting their second child.  I can’t wait to meet you wee one Jess!  Congrats again!!

What to Wear Wednesday II

I haven’t forgot about this segment I told you I would do I just have been sooooooo busy with things that I really haven’t had much time to thing about what I wear each day! LOL  All kidding aside I really am going to try and keep this blog updated with sneak peeks, W2WW’s and such.  So keep being patient and stay tuned for much more coming from K.Shiell Photography!

Anyway here’s my installment of W2WW’s!  All clothing is from Old Navy, Gap or Banana Republic.  It’s a great site to check out if you in the market for new clothing because they have so many styles to kind of fit everyone’s needs.  And you don’t necessarily need to buy it from there if you find it on these sites you’ll be sure to find the same styles wherever you do your regular shopping!

This weekend I have 2 maternity sessions, I’ve very excited about them because as much as I LOVE photographing kiddos it’s nice to have somebody actually do what I tell them to do! As I’m sure everyone knows children have a mind of their own and it’s not always easy to get them to sit and look at the camera with a smile.   That’s really why I love this job though, it’s always fun and quite the experience to get those cute shoots!  I love it!

I’m sure both sessions are going to be beautiful!  There’s always something extra special about mommy’s and their growing bellies!  They have such a beautiful glow and are just radiating Love.  It’s a great look for most every women!  We’re hoping to get outside and enjoy the beauty of spring as well.  The snow has all melted and there are buds starting to grow on the trees!  What a beautiful time of year!  I’m really looking forward to my session on Sunday because the mommy-to-be is my younger cousin expecting her second child!  We are going to have a great time getting outside and doing a maternity session with her and her boyfriend and of course their handsome little guy who will be 2 in August!  It’ll be a lot of fun I’m sure!
